Center of Teaching and Learning Structure
According to article 63 of the Internal Regulation of the University of Patras, the Center is under the responsibility of the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) and is supervised by the Vice Rector for Academic and International Affairs. It bears the distinctive title Center for Teaching and Learning (acronym CTL). Responsible for promoting the purpose and goals of the Center is the Coordinator who is a faculty member of the University of Patras with a subject and/or research experience related to the scientific field of University Pedagogy. The Coordinator of the Center has a four-year term and is appointed by a Decision of the Senate following a proposal by Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP). The Academic Coordination Committee of the Teaching and Learning Center consists of the Vice Rector for Academic and International Affairs, the Deans of the Schools, and the Coordinator. The mission of the aforementioned Committee is the provision of support services, strengthening and continuous improvement of teaching and learning processes, in accordance with modern pedagogic trends, as well as the integration of new technologies in teaching for the development of distance education.
