The Center for Teaching and Learning of the University of Patras (acronym: KEDIMA and for the English language CTL – Center for Teaching and Learning), is the first structure established in a Greek university to support teaching and learning. It was initially established in 2016 by Decisions of the Senate and Council of the University of Patras, in application of the relevant provisions of Article 51 of Law 4009/2011.
Dimitris Vergidis, currently Emeritus Professor of the University of Patras, was appointed as the first Coordinator, and shaped the CTL’s operational framework and areas of responsibility. In February 2020, by decision of the Senate of the University of Patras, Thanassis Karalis, Professor of Lifelong Learning and Adult Education, was appointed Coordinator of CTL. In May 2020, the responsibilities and operation of CTL were included in the Institutional Regulation of the University of Patras. Since December of 2022 the acronym of CTL is KEDIMA in Greek language as far as the name was changed.
